Sandy has been teaching music lessons at Anona UMC since 1994. She was a founding member of the Anona Contemporary Band, and performs on bass or keyboards in the 9:30am Sunday Contemporary Service. She holds a Bachelor in Arts (cum laude) degree in music from the University of South Florida, and has been performing professionally in the Tampa Bay area since 1983. The Anona Academy of the Arts is a ministry of the Music Department offering individual music lessons for children and adults on: piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, and music theory and composition. Referrals for lessons on other instruments can be made by Sandy. Registration is open year-round.
Lessons are held on the Anona Campus or via online (ZOOM).
Lessons are for ½ hour per week unless otherwise arranged, at a fee of $20.00 per half-hour.
Second students from the same family receive a discount ($17.00 per half-hour).
Some instruments are available for students to borrow.
Anona Preschool/After School Program Students: Upon request, children in the Anona PreSchool/After School Program can be picked up and returned for their lessons/classes by their teachers, if the parent signs a Release form, available at the Preschool office.
